Finally got to cross off, "Camp at Joshua Tree and stargaze" from my bucket list last night! It's something I've been wanting to do for years and I'm so glad that the timing was finally right.

I actually considered cancelling the trip because there was a weather forecast of possible rain, but I'm so glad that my friends and I decided to push through with it anyway because, 1) it didn't even rain, and 2) the weather was absolutely perfect!

We arrived at the park half an hour before sunset, giving us enough time to catch the last few glimpses of light before we set up camp.

We stayed at Jumbo Rocks Campground and the whole place was so beautiful! I definitely recommend staying there if ever you decide to visit JTree.

There was a nice chill throughout the whole night, which is pretty rare for summer at Joshua Tree, and a clouds did roll in a bit during the night but not until we got our stargazing fix. My photos will never be able to do justice the amount of stars that you can see inside the park at night.

I attempted to wake up early to get some photos of the sunrise but failed because I was too tired from staying up to stargaze the night before. I did get to catch the last few moments of the golden hour before the run completely rose though. It was magical to say the least!

After breakfast, we packed up camp and explored a bit more of the park before heading home. I'm so glad that we were able to do this and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
