As I was driving up the mountains that lead up to Lake Tahoe, all I could think of is how fast time flies. I remember loving spending a few days every summer in here as a kid. Fast forward a few years later and here I am again, but this time with my adventure-loving friends!
One thing's for sure, Lake Tahoe never disappoints.
Eagle Lake - Desolation Wilderness
We hiked to Eagle Lake which is in Desolation Wilderness, which I found out later is where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses through Lake Tahoe! Some people have said that it's one of the most beautiful parts of the Sierras that you get to see on the PCT and I can definitely see why. There was so much green everywhere and the smell of all the pine trees reminded me of Christmas. I couldn't get over how much beauty this place holds! I'm already thinking of coming back next year to do some backpacking through Desolation Wilderness.
We ended our trip with a trip to the beach. I love how you have the water on one side and the mountains on the other.
Until next time, Lake Tahoe!
